Fantasea Harbour Hike is an annual community event held on Father’s Day. It features a 12km hike along the stunning foreshores of Sydney Harbour from Kirribilli to Clifton Gardens Reserve, Chowder Bay, adjacent to the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS) headquarters. At the finish line the SIMS Marine Festival offers delicious food and beverages, live entertainment and the opportunity to talk to SIMS scientists and view local creatures from the sea. Fantasea Adventure Cruising is SIMS’ Presenting Partner for this event and the Sydney Morning Herald is the major media partner.
Fantasea Adventure Cruising also provides each participant with a free ferry ticket, transporting all walkers from the finish line at Chowder Bay, Mosman, back to the start line at Kirribilli.
Funds raised and donations received during Fantasea Harbour Hike will directly benefit SIMS’ flagship Sydney Harbour Research Program which is developing the science that will enable us to look after our magnificent Harbour for future generations.
