Fantasea brings the BBQ back to Whitehaven Beach Cruise

24th September 2007

After unprecedented demand, Fantasea has re-introduced the BBQ lunch on the daily Whitehaven Beach Cruise. You can either choose to take a two-island cruise departing Shute Harbour at 9:00am or travel via Hamilton Island at 11:40am, returning back to the mainland at 5:35pm. And now is the best time to get out and enjoy the Whitsundays - the sun is shining, the chill has left the air and the water is warm enough for swimming.

The Whitehaven Beach Cruise includes a BBQ lunch, afternoon tea, beach activities including volleyball and cricket. So get a group of your friends together, take your family or just escape on your own for a special treat at Whitehaven Beach. Don’t forget to take a towel, hat, sunscreen, bathers and a camera.

If you’re new to the area, Whitehaven Beach is a must see as it is considered one of the top ten beaches in the world. With seven kilometres of glistening white silica sand complemented by crystal clear waters, it is located on Whitsunday Island, the largest island in the region and is fully protected and uninhabited due to its National and Marine Park status. You can see turtles, fish and other marine life while swimming and walking along the beach. And at this time of year, you could also be lucky enough to see the stunning humpback whales and their calves while you are cruising there.

Join in the beach games organised by Fantasea crew or just relax and soak up the sunshine.
