Our Palm Beach Ferry Service operates all day, every day. With seven departure locations, you can join us at a time and place that suits your itinerary. Palm Beach to Ettalong via Wagstaffe
Ettalong has great cafes and sensational seafood lunches. There are shops to browse and the monthly Sunday Ettalong market is the largest on the Central Coast.
This high speed journey travels between Palm Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Wagstaff and Ettalong Beach on the lower Central Coast peninsula. Departing roughly every hour (view the timetable) the journey is one of the most picturesque in the world. This journey spans across 4 waterways from Pittwater, Broken Bay, the Entrance to the Hawkesbury River and Brisbane Waters. Passing between the heads of Barrenjoey Headland and Box Head ensures that no two journeys are never the same. One day there might be some swell and the next day a millpond. Enjoy the opportunity to see the wildlife from birds to fairy penguins, turtles to seals, and dolphins to whales.

Palm Beach to The Basin, Coasters Retreat
Bennett Wharf & Bonnie Doon, The Basin, Currawong Beach & Mackerel Beach
Ferries depart Palm Beach hourly to this wonderful isolated haven in the Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park on the Western Foreshores of Pittwater.
The first two stops Bennett Wharf and Bonnie Doon are the gateway to Coasters Retreat. The third stop is the most popular of all, The Basin; offering flat, grassy camping grounds and excellent picnic facilities. Protected by the National Parks and Wildlife Service and with deep water anchorage and protected swimming lagoon, the Basin is truly one of Sydney’s sun drenched, idyllic natural wonders. Fourth stop on this journey is a little hideaway called Currawong Beach. The last stop on the ferry route is the famous Mackerel Beach.
The ferry departs Palm Beach hourly 7 days a week (see timetable), join us to experience one of these amazing destinations first hand or stay on-board the ferry and marvel at the Beauty of Pittwater and the Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park. The round trip journey takes approximately 45 minutes, but once on-board you will be in no hurry to rush home.

Public parking is available at Palm Beach Wharf, however it is limited. Please allow at least 30 minutes before ferry departure on weekends.
