Vivid and Whale Watching Package

Sydney’s best experiences on the water: 25 May to 16 June

Like many humans, whales prefer to spend their winters in Australia. From the end of May until as late as December, pods of Humpback Whales fill Australia’s oceans as they migrate to mate and eventually give birth to calves.  Fantasea is dedicated not only to making sure you reach the Pacific’s “Whale Highway” in record time, but to providing you with a comfortable and memorable boating experience as well. Vivid Sydney night cruises include a complimentary welcoming drink and a stunning evening view of Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Harbour Lights, Taronga Zoo, the Botanical Gardens and Walsh Bay.  The Vivid and Whale watching package allows you to take in both these giants as well as the largest outdoor light show in the world for only $99.

Cruise 1. Hop aboard the large catamaran and enjoy complimentary refreshments while you cruise around Vivid Sydney for a 60- minute cruise from Darling Harbour to Fort Denison past the Botanical Gardens and a slow cruise around the Opera House taking in the light show from every angle, a view only possible from the water.

Cruise 2. Fantasea’s Whale Watching Cruise is one of the most popular Sydney Harbour cruise deals, nature lovers from every corner of the globe flock here just like the whales each winter to make the most of the experience, often glimpsing other wildlife such as dolphins and fairy penguins. The international community has done such a great job with whale conservation that 2018 is set to top 20,000 leviathan visitors, making it the busiest year to date. On our boats, you’ll find two spacious viewing decks that offer the ideal vantage point from which to spy on your giant photogenic prey.

Memorable whale watching experience

It was an absolutely great whale watching experience. We saw a lot of humpback whales and dolphins. Beautiful day. Staffs were very friendly. The boat was large, comfy and clean. It was really enjoyable and I’ll definitely come back. 🙂

Whale of a time

Have been on a few whale watching excursions and this was by far the best plus the added bonus of actually seeing whales! Booked online and boarded at Circular Quay, being a Monday afternoon it wasn’t busy at all maybe about 30 people the Vessel was modern and 1st class plenty of viewing areas. The crew were friendly and explained the protocols and rules of whale watching and were very respectful to graceful mammals, we were lucky enough to hang around with a couple of Humpbacks for about an hour and were given informative commentary along the way. The time went so quick will be keen to go again next season.

Whale Interaction at its Finest

Fantastic crew especially Lisa-she really knew her stuff and made the cruise. Humpback Highway is a thing and is definitely worthy of being on everyone’s bucket list.No better time than to see them in Sydney. I also could not believe how close they came to shore.

“Excellent New Years cruise”

We took the 90-minute cruise for New Years and we’re not disappointed – fab views of the new year fireworks. Not cheap but worth every penny.

“Superb trip!”

A great way to see the harbour and have a thrill. We thought this trip was great for teenagers and their aging parents to do together. Thoroughly recommended.

A great experience, would recommend it to anyone.

It was a comfortable day to be on the water with little glare and enough wind to ensure an interesting start. The captain did a great job in positioning us for the start and made sure that we got a good look at the leaders as he let them power past. We were looked after by an experienced crew who made sure that we enjoyed hot food and the cold drink.

Fantastic value compared to others we looked at.

A whole new way of seeing the start of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. Right in the action from the start then offshore from Bondi Beach. Really great up close boating. Well done to all, great burgers+ cold drinks+ the best boat driving= fantastic value compared to others we looked at.

“Essential Palm Beach Activity- Fabulous fun.”

Get you across to the basin and other river beach area including camping with facilities. Inexpensive way to see Pittwater and Hawkesbury areas- and the tea is not bad,

“Way to travel”

Travel by ferry from Ettalong to Palm Beach is charming, especially if you don’t get to experience waterways like this.Use the bus (Opal Card) to get around.

“Ettalong to Palm Beach ferry service”

We took the opportunity to enjoy the water experiences offered by Fantasea. We caught the ferry at Wagstaffe, which is a lovely quiet spot on the Box Head peninsular. We had a great ride via Booker Bay Wharf as Ettalong wharf was being “improved”. Palm Beach was warm and relaxed on a sunny winter’s day.

“A breath of fresh air!”

A great way to add another dimension to the Northern Beaches. Took the Ettalong ferry over the Hawkesbury River, dog and bike friendly, clean and comfy, value at $11return. A nice blast of sea air and worth a visit to the Paranga?pub. Just do it.

Migaloo as the star!

Thanks again for the terrific whale cruise yesterday, with Migaloo as the star. It was unforgettable! I mentioned the work being done with dogs to locate whale droppings. This could be fun for your customers to hear about along with the breath sampling by drones.

An evening on Joy Bar!

My friends and I went on Joybar for an evening of wine and chocolate tasting. It was wonderful! The staff were attentive, approachable and were constantly making sure you were having a great time! We tried 3 different wines and chocolates to match each one. It was really well done. As if wine tasting wasn’t enough you are also cruising around the famous Sydney Harbour at dusk seeing all the famous sights up close and personal! It was a great evening and perfect for group friends!

“A Harbour History Lesson With Syd D”

My partner and I were on a short weekend away from South Australia and wanted to get over to Taronga Zoo – a Water Taxi seemed the way to do it and were we lucky to get to ride with Syd? You bet. From Darling Harbour Syd gave us some insider knowledge on the naval vessels, history of the rocks, SH bridge, Kirribilli house and more. Entry to Taronga was part of our taxi fare – it was great. Thanks again Syd!

Wonderful Whale watching

We went on a whale watching cruise with Fantasea. The boat was big and new and the crew friendly and well informed. The crew included two marine biologists. We were lucky that we saw a lot of whales. My only regret was that the time passed too quickly. Could have stayed out at sea watching the whales for many more hours.

NYE 2016/2017 9pm Fireworks

The entire team at Fantasea Crusing did an absolutely fantastic job before, during and after the cruise. Professional and organised, the team was also very compassionate and accommodating to the special needs of my family. Special thanks to Alexia for taking care of us and the crew on board for doing a great job during the spectacular fireworks show. A fabulous night to remember, thank you!

Best Harbour Trip with Your Fabulous Staff

Just went on the best harbour trip with your fabulous staff, Adam and Holly on the Shopper Hopper, they were so friendly and personable. Would definitely go again but only if these two are on duty

Fantastic Vivid Cruise.

This cruise exceeded my expectations. I have to use a forearm crutch to walk and balance and The crew were fantastic in assisting me with boarding and moving around the boat to be able to see the best of the “Vivid” light show. Not only did they help, but they did so in a friendly manner. Top marks to all, you made my Sydney Harbour cruise the highlight of my stay.

Great Harbour Tour!

We got the last water taxi tour on the new years day bank holiday which was 45 minutes long and had a great time despite the weather. The guide was very knowledgeable of the area and the sites we saw.

Great Cruise into Sydney!!!

This was the final leg of the Blue Mountains tour by Grey lines. The cruise was nice and so relaxing after a day of sight seeing west of Sydney. The drinks were great and I got some great pictures along the way. It ended at night and afforded a great view of the Harbor area upon arrival
