Whale Watching Sydney’s 2.5hour Discovery Cruise is designed to give you the best value cruise for your money, combining speed, comfort, and breath-taking views of humpback whales (and other sea creatures) in their natural habitat.
Departing from Darling Harbour, you’ll reach the open ocean in just 25 minutes to explore on Fantasea Avalon. Watch whales in comfort from the seated sun deck, covered rear deck or climate-controlled cabin.
Our expert crew and on board guides will get you in the best spots to see whales, as well as commentate on their behaviour and give you insights and facts about these amazing creatures.

Adult $91 Child (4-15) $67 Family (2A+2C) $258 Fuel Levy: The current conflict in the Middle East has resulted in a sharp increase in the price of fuel. To offset these unexpected costs, an additional temporary fuel levy of $2 per passenger will be applied to any new bookings for cruises operating from 1 April 2026 to 31 December 2026 (inclusive). Given current volatility, this levy will be reviewed every two weeks and adjusted as required to reflect actual cost movements. Our intention is to keep this charge as low as possible and only in place while fuel prices remain at elevated levels. Once prices return to more typical levels, this incremental fuel levy will be removed. The above prices are inclusive of the temporary fuel levy.

If no whales are successfully watched on your cruise, you receive a free return cruise.
